Illustration
We work with you to understand your genre, style, and theme, and we offer you a variety of illustration styles to choose from. You will have full ownership of the illustrations and the final files will be ready for print or digital publishing.
Storyboarding
During the storyboard process of book illustration we plan and visualize the sequence of events, characters, and settings in your book. We create a series of sketches that show the main scenes and actions of the story.
An overview of the process:
Organize the story by breaking it down into chapters or scenes.
Design the composition of each scene by deciding on the perspective, layout, and elements
Adjust the pacing and flow of the story by adding, deleting, or rearranging scenes as needed.
Identify and solve inconsitencies with the story or the illustrations early on.
Page and Layout Design
Page and Layout determines the flow of your book. We create rough drafts of the page layout, using a grid system to organize the text, as well as images, and graphics if there are any to be included. We refine the drafts, choosing the fonts, colors, and styles that match your book’s message and feel.
